Urgent – Travel home this afternoon

Kia ora Whānau, Parents and Caregivers

I am sharing the latest updates that we have received regarding the weather. Paramount for us is the health and wellbeing of our students, staff and community as we deal with the deteriorating conditions.

As the rain continues, we have been informed that a number of roads in our catchment area have either been closed or have surface water making travel difficult.

The buses are running as scheduled at this stage although some routes may not be fully accessible. Where necessary buses may need to try alternative routes if they face significant obstacles. This will mean some delays and some of our students may not be home at the scheduled times. Where possible students will be encouraged to communicate with parents and caregivers so the updates are live if there are any changes.

Parents and caregivers are welcome to arrange to collect their students from school if they have any concerns about the buses being able to complete their regular routes.

I hope our community stays safe during these difficult times.
