Junior Curriculum
Our Year 9 and 10 students are provided with the opportunity to learn through rich and authentic contexts that weave literacy, numeracy and Mātauranga Māori throughout. All students have the opportunity to undertake extension work through inquiry and project-based learning to help them enhance their learning needs and interests.
Compulsory Subjects
All Year 9 and 10 students are required to study the core subjects of English, Mathematics, Physical Education and Health, Science, and Social Studies. Students are placed into these classes.
Optional Subjects
At Year 9 students choose eight subjects from the learning areas of The Arts, Technology, and Languages. Students will study two of these subjects during each 9 week rotation throughout the year.
